I admit that since high school, I never really liked
essay writing. For me it is the most unwanted part of an exam, the most boring homework, yet the best way to improve writing skills. I must admit, that even though I disliked
essay writing, it was still very useful.
I was obligated to write; therefore I was obligated to practice. But every word, every sentence I wrote gradually became meaningful. I realized back then that I disliked writing because I thought I was not good at it.
Essay writing not only becomes an outlet for writing styles, grammar and word usage, it is also an outlet for students’ insights as well. With the different fields I have written about, I was able to broaden my horizons. Moreover, it has prepared me to write more complex and advanced papers.
Writers are not born but made. With practice and right attitude, any student can be a good writer.
