Courtney Rose is a music producer in the New York area who is known for her ability to do a number of different genres in a fresh unique sound that will shape the future of popular music. As a kid growing up, Courtney was always known for her creative abilities. She began expressing her creativity as an Producer at the age of 3 when her parents gave her a musical keyboard. However, picking up the violin in elementary school would broaden her creative talent into the music world.She started playing popular music like soul to soul on her violin and keyboard practicing her music skills. The rest is history. Courtney Rose self taught herself how to play keyboards. Self taught musician by ear.The only formal training would come from public school system. Courtney Rose was born on July 15 in Louisiana and moved to NY at the age of one.When her parents Rosemarie and Richard Pruitt decided to take over a permanent live in group home at the age of 3. She was suddenly surrounded with a household full of diversity and culture. She and her brother Richard grew up in a group home that her parents took over and lived there until the age of 13. It was a beautiful time to grow up being surrounded by Italian,Spanish,Haitian,Korean,Jamaican cultures and because of this surrounding, she was exposed to different cultures of music and styles thats evident in her music today. She borrows heavily from the rich sounds of Classical music,Pop,Funk and the pumping beats of Hip Hop to create a unique and stylish form of music to truly influence the people. As a kid,she admired great producers like Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis,Barry White,James Brown,Little Richard,Quincy Jones,Micheal Jackson and was big on 80s pop.Her cousin is Jellybean Johnson,drummer and guitarist for the funk group The Time. As a young adult, she ran with an all male production team called the Coalition headed by Sammie Turnbull J.R who would be instrumental in showing her how to use music equipment to create as a producer. While running with the coalition,she met rapper Saigon who she produced 2 tracks for locally before he went on to get signed by JustBlaze. In 2001,Courtney Rose produced her first track for industry pro Treach and Rufus Blaque,Samson for Raw City Entertainment. In 2004, she interned for rapper Mr.Cheeks and gained alot of knowledge about the industry. 2005, Courtney became a member of SESAC PUBLISHING and found herself in NYC with her mentor Yasha Barjona formally known as Rhani Song in the music industry and was introduced to Freddie Jackson as the next up coming producer to him. Since that time, shes produced for local artist,a comedy show,and a diamond commercial. In 2009,shes looking toward bigger and better things.Look out for this talented producer on the rise....
