I have worked on computers for 20 years and now I hate them, lol.
So no software for me, except for the OS on the gear I use.
I use MPC 1000, Roland VS 1880, an Akai AX73, Korg XD5, a CDJ and a Technics 1200.
And whatever mood I'm in when I sit down and do a beat.

RECYCLE/ FINAL CUT PRO AND ACID (CUT SAMPLE),
**REASON 4 (GIG'S OF REFILLS), FRUITY LOOP 8 (DON'T SLEEP HATERS), LIVE, LOTS OF PLUG-INS ETC.

I used to use Reason, but I just can't o it anymore! I've got a love for hardware! I only use reason now as a sound module. Primarily, I use:
MPC 1000 Black w/ JJ OS 1 ('bout to upgrade that to 2!)
MPC 2000 Classic
Motif Rack Module
E-Mu 48 Midi Controller
Audacity for manipulating samples (since I'm a Mac user, I can't use Wavelab. :( )
Protools for mixing
Rockit 5 monitors & Sub ( I need a pair of those Dyan Audio's, though!)
Turntables & Mixer for the vinyl collection
Mac G4 tower
MOST IMPORTANTLY!! My external hard drive for backing everything up! ('Bout to go get a LaCie terabyte drive, too! Whoo!)
Hello everyone.....I try to keep things simple.Im not much into sampling although I can.Im a player..lol.back in the day,i used the asr 10,sound modules like the e-mu planet phat.,mpc 2000xl.I bought the mpc 4000 when it came out and returned it.The 2000 xl was smaller and simple to use.fruity loops, and reason 3.I didnt like reason to much.Once I got my triton, thats all I used.My setup now that I use are my Korg Triton,MPC 2000xl,MACBOOK,logic,garageband with a library of sounds and virtual instruments...Sometimes I just use the triton because it can do everything that a computer can do if you know your way around it.Thats it...But ladies ,dont forget to back up your work.. Keep creating....
